Program Overview

General Information

Southwest High School empowers individuals to become self-sufficient, with skills necessary for future employment and personal successes.

Southwest High assists adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency while completing a secondary education.

Students must be a Utah resident, at least 16 years of age and no longer enrolled in a public or private school.

Traditional Diploma

Southwest High School requires 24 credits to graduate. Students can receive up to 4 elective credits for work experience, military training and technical school.

Utah GED

We offer GED preparation including, but not limited to, the official GED practice test. The GED tests must be taken at the Utah Tech University professional testing center. For more information or to schedule a test, please click this link.

Successfully passing the GED test now results in receiving a Utah High School Completion Diploma.
